Professional Information

For more than a decade Fred was a business editor and columnist for the New York Times. He has also worked as an editor and reporter for the Wall Street Journal, the Houston Chronicle and the Louisville Courier-Journal -- while at the same time maintaining a dual career in teaching on both the college and secondary levels. Before coming to K-State in 2004, he was an adjunct assistant professor in the graduate school of journalism at New York University for 10 years. He has has also served as a fellow at the Washington Journalism Center, with a concentration in public affairs reporting.
